Garden Hothouse Operational

The walk-in Hothouse has been constructed.  Seedlings may be sighted on the shelves. In the near future flower seedlings will join the current incumbents. In another construction, shedders have laid the foundations for a storage shed. Needy families receive food parcels and the storage shed will aid this work.

AMSA conference reinforces key values

The recent AMSA conference and the research by 'Beyondblue' confirm the value of the men's shed movement. At the conference the representatives of New Zealand and Ireland  each contributed and shared.

The value of the evaluation process to sustainability generally is one factor that has special interest for our Keysborough shedders.  

Recreation Room finished

Congratulations Glenda and guys on your recent amazing achievements. This men's shed now has separate indoor places to woodwork, cook, learn and play. For the gardeners there are raised gardens and soon a Glass house. May shedders who visit from near and far be impressed.

Christmas Trees assembled for display

The metallic frames of the large Christmas trees have been painted, decorated and assembled at the local shopping centre. One of the groups that share the kitchen at our shed is the cricket club. We welcome back two of our shedders who have recently been in hospital. The learning centre will be closed from the 22nd December till 16th January.

Christmas Trees Project

Inherited from the Lions club, the shedders will maintain the metal frames that make the Christmas Trees. The shedders will transport the painted frames to a primary school for decoration. Then the decorated frames are driven to the local shopping centre where shedders assemble them for street display.

This week has been a very busy week for electrical tagging.

After lunch today, a group stayed together, told jokes and chatted.  It lasted 2 hours.  One or two were gardening. Seed planting and liquid fertilizing are shown here.
